I was working in the City for the son of Chub Feeney, former GM of the Giants. He got tickets to all of the Series games and had a raffle in the office and I won a ticket to the second game in Oakland. Being the only A's fan in the office, I wanted to watch the game in Oakland. A co-worker asked me to trade my ticket for the 3rd game of the Series at Candlestick. He begged, he pleaded and he attempted to bribe me-lunch, big deal. I said no and have been forever more grateful that I did. Had a great time wearing my A's logo gear while surrounded by my co-workers in their orange and black and our guys beat the crap out of the giants. A very good day!!

Barry....

I was in Rolla Missouri for some of my research (lead poisoning in wildlife related to mining activities) ....we stopped briefly in St Louis on Saturday May 22....and saw most of the Cardinals Game in person. Would have liked to have seen you in person...but had to catch a plane back to Maryland.

Regards from the entire Rattner family...regrettably my Mom's health is not too good at this point. Often think of breaking the fast at your home when we were kids.

Best wishes....Bon Rattner

Back in 1992 a friend of mine had a cassette tape about starting your own 900 number, and the Jose Canseco was given it was the funniest thing ever.

I had thought about that last night when I was playing an old baseball game on Nintendo. I was so happy to stumble on your post about it. It brought back so many memories.

"Hello, this is Jose Canseco, and for breakfast this morning I had some eggs and sausages."

Best thing ever!

I can't really confirm it, but he was a batting practice pitcher, minor league pitching coach, and pitching chart coordinator for the Giants and A's for many years, so I don't have any reason to doubt that he got the ring for his time with the A's in 1989. I don't know any other team with whom he would have gotten the ring.

I just returned from a visit to Cooperstown and while at dinner had the occasion to meet Terry Christman, who was wearing a WS ring. He told me that he was a member of the A's 1989 coaching staff. I have been unable to confirm that on the internet. Can you confirm that he was a coach?
Thank you.
